Why does the clutch drop to the floor?

Why does the clutch drop to the floor?
The clutch pedal dropping to the floor indicates no pressure tohold it up. In a hydraulic system the master cylinder or slavecylinder have either gone bad or the fluid is too low. If fluid islow then air has gotten into the lines preventing the pressure fromoperating the clutch. This can also be caused by a broken armattached to the pedal.
