Question

I have been served for court over a credit card from about 10 yrs ago when I became disabled. I live from month to month on my Social Security Disability income and I depend on this to live, is there a way in which they can get this money from my checking account?

Answer

if it was over ten years ago, you could probably get the suit dismissed because the statute of limitations has expired.

Yes, they can get the money from your account. If they get a judgment against you, they can garnish the bank account.
