A story whose moral is union is strength?

A story whose moral is union is strength?
A long ago, there lived a jeweler. He was satisfied with the fact that, he had a prosperousbusiness and had three sons to look after the business after him. Everything was going right for him and there was nothing less than a dream for him.
During the course of the time, all his three sons were married and three new ladies entered their house. This is when the troubles started for the aging jeweler. It dawned to him that, his sons started to fight amongst themselves to get the bigger share of the entire property.
But what was the reason for this to happen? Well, it was the wives of the three sons who were instigating their husbands to do all this. Yesterday's brothers were today's enemies and this was not going well with their father.
These developments were taking a heavy toll on his mind as well as his body. He was literally on death-bed, yet worried about his sons. Finally, he thought of an idea. He asked all his three sons to bring a bundle of five sticks. They all obeyed him. He then asked to break the entire bundle of sticks.

All the three of them tried with their entire might, but could not break the bundle at all. He then asked them to unite the bundle and gave each stick to one of them. He again ordered them to break the single-stick. This time they were successful.
The message was passed on. If they behaved as an individual, they ran the risk of falling apart. If they stood like a bundle of sticks, anyone could hardly do them any harm.
No doubt, union is strength.
