Question

If a second party posted immediate cash of 1,000 on a 3,000 bond set, and I have since made payments on the balance, may I cease further payments since my case has now been dropped, discharged and bonds exonerated when I appeared on my arbitration court date appearance. Case was dismissed. Is my initial bond posted by second party refundable?

Answer

No, you still owe the money. The bail bonds person or the insurance company put up the bond and still needs to be paid for it.

Answer

Cash bonds paid to the court are refundable. Money paid to bail bondsmen is not. If you didn't even pay the bondsman in full for his 'premium', you still owe it. pay of be sued.

Answer

Take a look at the bail contract. It will state that the premium is nonrefundable.
