Lifeline assistance programs lowers the cost of basic, monthlylocal telephone service. An eligible customer may receive a freecell phone and discount on either a wireline or wirelessconnection, but the discount is available for only one telephoneconnection per household. Lifeline does not apply to taxes,surcharges, and mileage charges. However, a Lifeline Cell Phone(which comes with 250 monthly minutes) are TOTALLY FREE!
