How was the kite invented?
The kite was apparently created by the Chinese around 500 BC, and by 500 AD was being used for a variety of purposes including light lifting, measuring distances, and semaphore-like military communication. The sport of kite-fighting developed in India and spread to other regions such as Afghanistan.
