my daughter (a student) entered into a lease with two other girls in Queens New York. Now on of the girls is using pot along with her boyfriend and his friends in the apartment. Does my daughter have a right to break the lease?

Legally, you would first give notice to the landlord concerning the illegal conduct. If the illegal conduct continues, she would be able to break the lease.
