Wedding and event planners do not serve alcohol, therefore they do not need a permit to serve liquor at events. The cater and his or her staff that the planner hired should have a permit, especially if liquor service is a key component to his or her business. Always check the credentials of the people you plan to hire before you do so, no matter the job.
