Ok my friend dog two free dogs yesterday night and then today the owner that GAVE them the dogs wants them back and they had givin one to her brothers girlfriend is it illegal to take them back the next day????

The original owner would likely lie and say that the dogs were never given BUT, if the truth were told, a gift is a gift.
