What does sequence of related events means?

What does sequence of related events means?
It means that a series of things happen that are all connected in one way or another. For example, let's say I'm writing a play.
1. I finish the play in 2012.
2. It's first shown in the theater of Europe (Made up theater) in 2013
3. A Review printed on the show is first published in 2014
4. I write another play based of the first in 2015.

You must also understand that in history a couple of years is half an instant, so a sequence of related events would most likely be over quite a time.
