I went to a doctor for a well woman exam and asked about an irregular period. The doctor then proceeded to do an ultrasound, which unbeknownst to me, was an extra charge. Is this legal? Do I have a case?
Answer
I don't think so. The doctor will say the ultrasound was necessary to rule out various dangerous conditions that might cause the irregular period or to rule out pregnancy.
