When did One Direction form?
July 23, 2010 by a group of four british boys: Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik and one Irish boy: Niall Horan. They formed as a group in the X Factor and decided to stay together as a band with the name Harry thought up, "One Direction".
