Question

My ex-husband and I have joint custody of our daughter, who is 12, but he is the primary custodian. Our daughter does not want to live with her father any longer; her father does not want to "discuss" her moving to be with me (up until now, we've had a good relationship/communication). I live out of state (MS) but our case is in California; is it better for me to retain a lawyer to file the proper paperwork and go to court for/with me?

Answer

Yes
