What can adults do to mediate a hyper sexualized culture?
Depends on the environment of the moment. One thing may be to just not give it any more attention than it is already getting. When something is offensive...calmly acknowledge that it's offensive and change the channel, or turn the dial, or leave the premise just do your best to keep the crap out with out adding to its momentum. Also we can pass laws...I mean really if people don't want adult bookstores in their town...they can prohibit them. In our city there unfortunately is an adult bookstore, but we have banned all topless bars and strip joints, and pole dancing crud. And most importantly, stop buying in...I mean if all the people who complain about this subject would stop paying for it...it would go away...so just do you part.
