It is actually a myth that UPS trucks never make left turns. Their routes are designed, however, to make only right turns whenever possible. Trucks often have to sit idling, waiting for an opportunity to make a safe left-hand turn. Cutting down on that idle time saves UPS in terms of both money spent on fuel for idle trucks and productivity.
