Question

Please tell me the procedures envolved in the sufficiency of the service process. What does Florida procedures say about the rights of the person being served. What protection do you have from server not serving you personally.

Answer

Service is governed by FL Rules of Civil Procedure, 1.070 and 1.080. Service of the

initial complaint has certain rules. You may object to the court regarding failure to

follow the procedures but it may not affect the complaint, but you may be given more

time to answer or defend against the claim. In some cases, personal service is not

required, e.g., some defaults.

Answer

You sound like a law student looking for info. If not, then you need to look up the Fla Stats on line and it will tell you the procedure. As to protection - depends - if you are avoiding service and the process server comes to court to state that you were there but refused the service, the service is good.
