Where is front blower motor on 2005 ford freestar?
The front blower motor for a 2005 Ford Freestar is located in behind the glove compartment. To gain access you need to completely drop down the glove compartment. You can do this by just pushing in on the tabs (upper location, rear glove box) that hold it in place. Then do the following:
-Unplug wiring harness that sits directly in front of blower motor. (allows more room to remove part)
-Unplug power supply to blower motor.
-Remove 3 screws that hold the motor in place. Suggest you use a socket wrench with extension.
That's pretty much it. You may have to move the blower motor around a bit in order to extract it, however it's not too difficult. Depending on your comfort level to perform this task, removal and installation should only take 25 to 45 minutes.
