What happens if I want to cancel a layaway plan and didn't sign an agreement

I recently had to cancel a layaway agreement. I was naive in the beginning when I was told that there wasn't a written agreement and just to send payments in when I could (plus there wasn't a specific term). I have made 3 payments that can be accounted for from my bank and credit card. The company doesn't dispute that.

I was wondering how much money I can expect to get back in light of this situation. I have paid a total of $1100. Are there any laws that give me protection in light of no agreement signed?

You need to see what their policy is on lawaway. It would be extremely unusual for a business to have a layaway program and not have anything written.
