Why did St.Paul want to punish all of the people who believe in Jesus?
According to the Acts of the Apostles, a Christian writing, the early Christians were regarded by some Jewish leaders as departing from their teaching and needed to be brought into line. According to Jewish law, they could be held to account for their activity. Saul was zealous in pursuing this course of action until he saw a vision on the road to Damascus. From then on, he taught the Christian religion.
