My ex boyfriend and I got a car together, he is the buyer, I am the cosigner, we are both on the title. He says I have to refinance and get his name off or I have to give him the car. Can he take it from me if I am making the payments and paying the insurance?

Absent and agreement otherwise, you both have equal access to the car. He owes you for half the insurance and half the finance payments you make. You should probably tell him that until he pays his half, you are keeping the vehicle. You might have an attorney tell him for you. But, either or you can force the sale the vehicle.
