My son was arrested and bonded out of jail a week ago. He just received a notice to appear for arraignment next month. What does this mean?



Answer

You don't say what he was arrested for, but in short, he either needs to hire an attorney, or go to court, to see if he qualifies for a public defender. The arraignment is where one either pleas guilty or not guilty (best done with the advice of an attorney).
