Can I sue for more that 5,000 dollars for property damage without an attorney? It was a car accident

Answer

Of course! A LLC or a corporation must be represented by an attorney just like any other legal "person" however.

Small claims court has a cap that might be relevant. Some people waive say a $6,000 claim into a $5,000 small claims case because $1k isn't worth losing small claims court (in some people's view).
