Question

My ex-wife had her Attorney send me a packet that was sent with the green card that's signed and returned showing it was accepted. I live in a condo. I was given the packet today by one of the security guards who signed for it. I'm given 30 days to respond back to what was sent. Being I wasn't the one to sign for it is this considered not valid of the 30 days until I receive and sign for the green signature card myself?

Answer

If you are in Florida - it is 20 days - I suggest you hire an attorney to handle this for you. l. you can answer the package or 2. you can have an attorney inform the ex-wife's counsel that good service was not obtained as the security guard signed for the package. Be minded however, that if this is a part of the security guards assignments to accept and sign for residents - this may not help you.

Answer

It looks like you consented to jurisdiction, you will need to retain a lawyer asap to deal with this.

Use of a lawyer is recommended.
