Who is the book Westworld about?
Westworld is a science fiction novel by Michael Crichton about a theme park populated by intelligent androids that allow people to experience different periods of time. Westworld, in particular, is American-west themed (cowboys and all that). The androids are all programmed to deliver 100% authenticity, but there is a code built in from preventing the androids from causing physical harm to the guests.
However, something goes wrong and the robots "revolt" and the surviving guests all have to try and escape.
There was a Simpsons episode that copied this plotline when the family goes to Itchy and Scratchy land.
