I wanna buy a car from a mechanic, he got this car from an auction. The car had an accident, which I think damaged the front seriously. However, he told me the engine and transmission are not damaged and in good condition. I want to do an inspection to see, but he would not allow me to do it. So I came up with an idea that we write a contract that after I buy this car, I will go to do an inspection. If there are minor damages exist, he would fix them for free. If there is a major damage, he would return the money. I want to know is this contract a valid evidence in the court to get my money back if he refuses? Thank you very much.
