Yes but it is a good question. Sex offenders must advertise where they live to give notice to those around. They are given certain restrictions because of the conviction. But we must remember that while they have been convicted of a sex offense, it may not have involved a child.

There would have been a prohibition against being around his own children in his conditions of release.
