I live in Kentucky and am moving to Illinois. I gave my ex husband a 30 day notice that I am doing so, and we have a 4 year old child together. Do I need to go to court to be granted permission to do so by a judge since he will not grant me permission?
Answer
Under the current KY rules, you must give 60 days notice. If he does not object, you can move. If he does, you must file a motion and receive permission from the court.
