First of all thePower steering made a whining noise then it needed fluid regularly.What is the problem?
You have a leak somewhere. Year, make, model helps a lot to get you a more accurate answer.Any fluid spots on the ground after being parked? Get a light & look for leaks might be the best way to start. If it's a rack & pinion system don't forget to check the outer boots to see if they're full of fluid.
