my son was a passeger on a stolen car, now they have charged him with grand theft aquto can he be charged for rideing in a stolen car.
Answer
Under Florida's Principal Theory, it is possible to charge your son with the crime. However, the State will have to prove, knowledge and/or intent on his part. If your son had no clue the car was stolen, he should not be convicted of the charge. This may have to go through a trial though to get the result you may want.
