Question

I got a "Careless operation of a motor vehicle" ticket in a public boat launch area while turning right and going up a small ramp. The levee officer said I made a peel out noise. I have and older, stock muscle car and I feel I was given the ticket because of my age and the type of car I was driving. Several adults said they would be a witness in court for me because I didn't do what the levee officer accused me of. Is this ticket gonna stick or should the ADA or DA understand my side of the story? I have never had a ticket or accident before this one. I feel I was discriminated against becasue of my age and vehicle. The same officer pulled over another kid in a similar type car after he finished with me but didn't mess with anyone else.

Answer

You should make an appointment with the DA and explain your side of the story. He may offer assistance or nolle prosse the ticket.
