What was ancient greek art like?
Ancient Greek artwork was beautiful and glorious.
Since Ancient Greek is where many classical ideals were born, you'll notice the development of humanism.
Humanism was a movement whereby artists would depict people as they truly were rather than as heavenly and divine creatures of perfection.
Mythological Gods were often painted onto vases during this era as a tribute to their polytheistic religion.
One will also notice much more attention to detail and a somewhat obsessive compulsive desire for perfection in sculpture design. For example, the pillars that held up the roof of the Parthenon were designed so that from a distance they would look perfectly straight(though in reality, they were not).
