Who invented the paintbrush in the late 17th century?
Many scholars and historians believe that the first "paint brushes" came about when primitive people began recording their stories on walls, stones and any other media they had available. These first paint brushes were nothing more than leaves twisted together, or animal hair dipped in colors they made from berries and other concoctions.
The Chinese used one of the first actual paint brushes for writing characters and techniques in painting.
