i filed for divorce and my ex wont file a response what should my next step be
Answer
If you ex is not responding, then you can file a request for default after 30 days of her being served. If she still continues to not do anything, then youc an proceed under default and complete the divorce judgment without her participation. You should speak with a family law facilitator to get advice on the exact steps you need to take to complete your default divorce.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.

Answer
Assuming that you had her properly served, and her time has run, your next step is to request the entry of her default. Then you submit a default judgment package to the court, including a proposed judgment on the correct form.
Answer
Go to the Family Law Facilitator's Office in the County where the papers were filed.
