i am in the process of a custody hearing, i want shared custody of my 3 yr old daughter lily,up until the time that my girlfriend parted there was not a problem, but since nov. i have been aloud only surpervised visits at her parents house where she lives ,2 days a week for 2 hrs each time because she says that if i take her i won;t bring her back, thats not true, we have seen a family law rep, who she refuses to listen to , i have a very large close family who love lily my parents are not allowed to see lily because her mother does not feel comfortable ,i mean lily grandparents her mothers family, so they have not sen lily since befors thanksgiving, we live within 5 miles of each other, my lawyer after the last family law meeting, has asked for and received a emergency hearing set for may 3, my lawyer said my ex has no right to do this, what is your opinion



Answer

At the least you should be entitled to more extensive and unsupervised visitation, assuming there is no claim or evidence of mistreatment of your daughter.
