My parent is in a nuring home for rehab. She wishes to apply for medicaid. When we did her Will, we found a quit claim deed made out 17 yrs ago to her son. How does to her medicaid application.

You should consult with an experienced elder law attorney before applying for Medicaid.
If the transfer was made and filed 17 years ago then that transfer would not impact her ability to apply for Medicaid. If she has not filed the deed with the recorder's office you may have some issue with Medicaid.
