Can a 45 liter fuel tank take 52.2 liter of fuel on VW Polo 1200 I only do 25 miles from when the reserve light comes on. Do the same every month. On average never have put more than 40-44 liters in?
most cars from the factory are set to say they are empty, when in all actuality they still have between 2.5-5 gallons left reason for that is to keep sediment from the tank from getting into the fuel pumps. best bet is to not let it get to less than 1/8 a tank though otherwise you may pick up sediments that can stop the fuel pump and leave you stranded even after you fill the vehicle back up.
