Question

My mother passed in a car accident. There was a large estate left behind. Her and my father were divorced for years. He made himself executor to the estate and had all certificates made out to say they were married. He has drawn out all accounts (401K, bank accounts, investments, insurance checks, etc). He refuses to give it out to me and my sister, and we are lawfully entitled to this. I am not sure where to go from here. I know he has commited forgery and insurance fraud, among other high ranking felonies. What do I need to do?

Answer

You get an attorney ASAP, before any other assets are dissipated and you can never get them back. ASAP.
