The most important expectation is to appear with a lawyer. Judges really have problems with pro se cases as most litigants do not know (and they MUST know) the Georgia rules of evidence, uniform rules of superior court and local requirements of the judge. They must come prepared with needed paperwork (like financial affidavits, pay advices, child support worksheets, etc) and must know how to argue and present a case. Doing this pro se is a very bad idea.
