What is the core message of the film Australia - something cultural?
'Australia' is meant to be a promo. for the country, highlighting it's natural beauty and encouraging more visitors to go there. The storyline is I think meant to be contrasting the ephemeral concerns of the British aristocrat character (Nicole Kidman) with the out-there, 'real world' nature of Australian life, and showing that it's slower pace, with the important things being the basic essentials of survival surrounded by the nation's natural beauty, are what REALLY matter in the world. It's really meant to be saying 'forget the rat race- this is what reality is. Why not just get off the bus?'
